Scottie Harris, former Chief of Western Wake Fire Department and fellow FOOLS brother, left behind all the comforts of home in February 2005 and headed to Iraq to serve at an on-base fire department. He is sending back the most amazing photos on a regular basis. In the interest of giving everyone a taste of what is is like over there, and what the brave men and women of our armed forces and private companies are accomplishing, I will be posting Scottie's photos and narratives as I receive them.

5/14/06 After coming back to the states in early 2006 for a break, Scottie returned to Iraq in April to begin his second year!

7/30/05 Think it's hot in North Carolina? Check out THIS temperature gauge in Iraq! Scottie writes, "Well it was 148 here today... I know it has been hot in NC lately as well but I would rather be at Wrightsville Beach on a boat if I have to be somewhere hot."
