The Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) marked its 78th year, with this being its 12th year in Indianapolis, Indiana. Nearly 30,000 firefighters from all over the world converged on the city for a week of some of the most intense hands-on and classroom training sessions, and to wander through the seemingly endless exhibit halls to get a look at the latest and greatest technologies in the industry.
I participated in three H.O.T. sessions this year - Schoolbus Extrication, Truck Company Operations / Ground Ladders, and Scaffolding and High Angle Emergencies. Click the links below to read all about these and view photos.
Same disclaimer as always - it seems my memory is getting more feeble as the years go by. I try hard to remember names and departments, but if i have mis-represented anyone in the photo pages please email me so that I can correct it!
